A Salon is a concept taken from the 1600's where a gathering of "enlightened intellectuals" came together to discuss literature, policies, and politics. These salons redefined who had access to knowledge including women, and became a behind the scene movement of key knowledge for society (humanity) to become progressive. Through the years this idea had transformed into the parlor meetings in the late 1800's and early 1900's were people gathered to listen to mediums, and the teachers of the New Thought Movement held classes. Many of the older homes had a room called a salon or parlor for such a purpose.
The modern day Salon is transformed into a gathering of open minded people who are ready to understand the current shifting energies, where we are shifting to, and who want to be a key part of ushering in a greater consciousness for ourselves and humanity as a whole.
